About Us

We believe that all #datapoweredgrows are successful grows regardless of yield weights and potency percentages. At diygrowdata, growers gain valuable insights with the ability to look back at various key conditions so that they can easily replicate (or try to avoid!) those conditions in future grows.

Data not your thing? Do spreadsheets give you anxiety? Not to worry! We are total nerds about all things growing, data, and analytics. Our tools make wrangling your sensor data super simple. That means more time for analyzing trends, identifyng outliers, and dialing in your grow space conditions for optimal yields & quality!

Value Proposition

Why should you care about diygrowdata? Let's be honest, there's a #weednerd in all of us. Growers love talking about their craft with other growers, but why not SHOW it to them as well! Synchronize your data from popular sensors and embed social media post performance and Youtube videos so that you can compare your data to other members and crowdsource best practices!

Are you a Knowledge Sharing pioneer? Do you thrive off of helping others get started? Let's complement your approach (or your site!) with data and allow your students/followers full transparency into all aspects of your grow!

Site Development Roadmap

Phase 1: Domain placeholder

  • Getting Started provides a place where users can manually log their data. The domain placeholder dashboard is updated as users submit data.
  • The dashboard on this site is very basic since it is only a placeholder - gotta save the good stuff for the fully functional BETA!!
  • Further development here will be minimal.

Phase 2: Python-backed Beta site

  • I have been wanting to learn python for years. What better way than to try and replicate the placeholder site (created with Google Sites) with actual code!
  • The Beta site includes integrations that will replace the manual data tracking capability currently on the domain placeholder site.
  • The Beta site will include community features including crowd-sourced diy articles, discussion boards, and grower profiles.

Phase 3: Sensor Integrations (@sensorpushtech, @bluelabguardian, @atlasscientific)

  • You gotta love the Internet of Things! With so many sensor companies out there the possibilities are endless! Sensorpush is one of the first I have seen with API capabilities so we'll start there.
  • Blue Labs Guardian provides an exporting feature but you must have the Connect (the one that logs data).
  • Atlas Scientific is the true essence of diy. I can't wait to start building my own sensors and sharing how-to's!!

Phase 4: Testing & Launch

  • Want to be involved in Beta site testing? Keep watching this space for updates!

Under the covers

"Farmerjim, we haven't seen anything about the BETA site yet. Can you please give us a sneakpeek?!"

Farmerjim: "Apparently, you're not following me on Instagram!! But here's a little somethin' somethin'"
